Our pastor, Andy Oliver, was inducted into the ministry at Cowdenbeath Baptist Church Saturday 2nd October 2021. We have added here some information to introduce you to Andy. Also, some photos of the occasion are available on OUR PEOPLE page.
Andy Oliver comes from Northern Ireland where he ran his own business before entering full-time Christian ministry. Andy studied theology at the Irish Baptist College in Belfast and graduated with a BD and MTh from the Queen’s University of Belfast; and subsequently a PGCE from Cambridge.
From 1999-2008 Andy was a pastor of the Way of Peace Church in Tirana, Albania, where he was involved in missionary service and pastoral ministry.
Andy met his now wife Ela in Albania and they have been married for just over 20 years. They have two daughters, Rakela and Emma, and a son, Jack.
From 2009-2021 he served in the Royal Army Chaplains Department.
Andy enjoys hill walking, fishing, and photography, and as a family they enjoy sailing the boat he and his children built together. He makes no claims to being proficient in any of these disciplines, but muddles through.
Andy has also authored two books which are both available.
God’s Prescription for a healthy marriage and family. Published by Day One Publications.
Opening Up Ezekiel. Published by Day One Publications.
